We use a several hundred pounds of lava rock then topped it with crushed lava rock to keep the materials from falling through. After we placed the Black Magic on the lava rock Craig topped it with Clear Pyrite (Clear with Sterling Silver coating) Clear Diamonds, Black, Black Reflective and now he has one cool fire feature. We will show you from beginning to end. NASTY! Here you can see the lightly coated Black Magic with our glass for accents and sparkle. Here you can see the Diamonds. When you see the Diamonds in the fire they appear to be melting but actually they are only reflecting inside which looks like they are melting. They are made from crystal. And with everything just right you have the Black Magic look! Nice Flames! The fireplace below belongs to Ross Barnett in Florida. This was a ventless propane installation. Ross built a front wave design and we built a special wedge pan with the controls underneath. This is a remote control ventless burner. Great job Ross! Ross saw what we did for other customers and he came up with this very cool design for us to build for his family room, thanks Ross! The fire pit below was designed and built by Jeffrey Stoutenborough in Santa Barbara, California. He started with a Bronze base, Bronze Reflective on top, Black Reflective, Ice Ice Ice. Dark Red Orange Topper and Blue Green and a few large rocks left in place. The fire pit below has a Black base with Black Reflective on top.Not too great of a fire pit picture but you get the idea. Even with Black as a base glass you will only see the color of glass under the fire. The flames don't change color nor does the glass, but the glass is what will reflect the light at night. The fireplace below was assembled by Nadine in Dallas Texas (Elegant Reflections USA) Great job on the skull! The base glass is Starfire and Black base makes up the skull. She also used Clear Diamonds and Clear Crystals from our Toppers. You can see the Diamonds and Crystals around the outer edge for accents. This next fireplace is a direct vent conversion and the glass that Charlene used was: V Blue Reflective, Black Reflective, Gray Reflective, Copper Blue Topper, Blue Luster Diamonds, Black Silicone Carbide under the Blues, Cobalt Blue Diamonds, Sky Blue Diamonds and Cobalt Blue Square Ice. I think she wanted it to POP and it did!
