Corten Steel Fireplace Newport Beach

We were asked to build a Corten Steel Fireplace for a set of Model Homes in Newport Beach at Crystal Cove

Very delicate welding to avoid massive warping!

Back side braces to keep it straight.

Nice even surface.

Then we BLACKENED the metal, there are hundreds of techniques to blacken metal.

After the Fireplace was installed we installed 1" metal trim all around to make the installation look appealing. (The reason for the blue tape was to hold in the metal trim)

We originally proposed a complete metal structure and then cladding with the stone, that would have of been much easier.
