Fireglass Fireplaces
Ty Havas didn't want an ordinary Propane pan for his fireplace. He wanted a pan that would be more than functional. So after some sketches and discussions we began making a cardboard mock up.
He would ultimately recieve a Stainless Steel pan with angled legs and a 2 inch depth. Here the cardboard mock-up along with his firepalce measurments (which you can see denoted on the cardboard piece below the mock-up) assure that we attain the correct size and appropriate design.
The fireplace is emptied out and it becomes apparent that its in dire need of a fresh coat of paint. And since the custom pan was built with legs, the fireplace floor will be left visible and as a result fresh tile will be added to the hearth.
The fireplace re-design is complete with two custom reflective sterling silver panels on either side of the pan to give the illusion of the fireplace being larger.
The stainless steel pan is filled 1/4" Bronze, 1/4" Bronze Reflective, Copper Ruby Red, Yellowish Opal Orange, and Red Brown and a few Classic Daimonds.
A wonderful transformation.

Tucker from Texas re-did both fireplaces, the formal living room with 1/4" Starfire, 1/2" Starfire, Gold and a few Diamonds.
And his Great room with Gold and Amber.
We Designed both fireplaces at the AMA (American Music Awards) Green Room. And along the way we met 2 of our famous fans Billy Idol and Nicollette Sheridan!
Cory Golliday redid his fireplace, follow along and see the complete transformation. Starting with the emptying of the fireplace and a fresh coat of fireplace paint.
Below you see the surrounding area prepped for the paint. Once done you can install the burner and light to help it dry quicker.
The fireglass used was Starfire, Pyrite Clear, Crystal Toppers and Classic Diamonds.

This is Brian Pokrzywa's fireplace. He cleared it out and dry-cleaned with a steel brush. getting it ready for a fresh coat of high-heat fireplace paint. Thank you Brian for sending us your photos; helps all our customers better understand the easy self installation process.
Brian prepared the area around the fireplace, to assure no fireplace paint would get into any unwanted areas. He then sprayed the inside with a matte black paint.
He then laid a bed of regular playground sand from his local home department and placed his indoor fireplace burner above it before pouring Gray and Pyrite Gray fireglass.

Our customers Michael and Linda Shimokaji sent us these photos of their fireplace as it was before. In the 1st photo on the left we see a combination of fake logs with some fireglass. The whole thing was a mess though, a messy paint job, the wrong burner and burnt glass!

You'll notice that their original burner was a single pipe. So we definetly swapped it out for a double 18" Steel burner to assure a nice flame pattern.
Complete with Bronze, Bronze Rust Copper and a few subtle hints of Blue and Red Orange Toppers.

This fireplace was located in the Family room and again we ran into similiar problems as those we found in the living room fireplace. So we went to work on rectifying the same issues.
Linda and Michael choose the same fireglass colors for their family room fireplace as well.

Thanks to Jay Arthur for sending us his photos. Jay used Starfire and 2 lbs of Gold as a Topper. Great job Jay!
With 1/4" Clear base with 3/4" Clear fire glass on top.
Here is another series of BEFORE & AFTER pictures of a corner fireplace install. And now for the results, here are 3 AFTER shots using 1/4" Gold fireglass crystals.
More Starfire
This was a really unique outdoor job in Colorado using 3 ground cover effects. The glass fire pits are using Azurlite and Gray

These photos showcase how easy it is to install a glass and fire fireplace. The installation utilizes our 2" method which saves you 1/3 the cost of the glass! Don't be fooled by the antics of some installers. After the fireplace has been cleaned and is now ready for paint. We have installed the burner which is as easy as hooking up a garden hose. This is a little hard to see but we have 2" of crushed lava rock under the pan burner which is actually your new base. We now have pulled the burner to the top surface and covered the lava rock with sand to expose the burner. We then adjusted the flame pattern by turning the burners to obtain our flame direction.
Here is the finished custom fireplace design using Blue Green Reflective. And who would know that there is a 2" base of filler underneath?

This photo comes to us from Jim Drewett in Pasadena, Ca. Here is a close up of the new burner pan before we install the fire glass. If you would like a custom burner please Call us at 909 989-6129 or Email Ed@Moderustic.com for more dream making details! Here are the 2 pictures of our glass fire fireplace completed using the custom burner pan.

This modern fireplace design comes to us from Andre Silva in Red Hill. This particular fireplace burned natural gas; so it was designed without a burner pan. However, fireplaces that use propape will NEED a pan. These photos showcase Starfire fire glass and we added one of our custom made aluminum Surround with a special frosted glass.
Here are 2 pictures of the same fireplace that reveal when it really comes to life - during the evening with the glow of the Fire Glass.
Here is an awesome picture from of a 14" x 21" burner pan. Installed by Bruce Dizigns. The burner pans we created to spread the flames all throughout the fireplace. Here is a picture of the pan on high flame, without any glass. Check out that fire power - lots of flame!
And now here is the pan covered with Starfire Fire Glass

Another Step by Step installs of Fire and Glass Fireplaces.
Step 1 - Clean out your old fireplace with a steel brush. Step 2 - Paint the fireplace walls with high-heat paint otherwise known as stove paint.
Step 3 - Then add some beautiful glassfire like Starfire topped with Bronze

Here are some more fireplace installation. This is how it looked when we arrived. Then we installed our burner and tested the draft of the flame.
Then we poured some lava rock and pulled the burner to the top.
We then added some Ford Blue with Ford Blue Reflective fireglass. And thats it! Light your new fire and glass fireplace and enjoy.

The 5 fireplace pictures below are on a 32" fireplace with our manifold/ pan below the surface. After the pan, it took only 35 lbs of Bronze glass and 5 lbs of Starfire as a Topping. Very nice flame pattern!
Here is a rapid-fire of various fireglass fireplaces.
