The next one we had to put in for you to see.  The next pan burner is almost beyond belief! The company who builds and sells these is R.H. Something-son. I don't know! They actually tell you this is how it has to be. Don't be fooled by lies. It has to be what you want it to be and look like you want it to look like! This is their "Sand Pan", it looks like  a bad cat box to me. But what do I know? There is more on the.

Not only do they have no class or taste, they don't even know how to paint.  A bad paint job is just that.  The manufacture didn't even try to conceal the controls whatsoever!

The next fireplace is a propane fireplace with a propane pan we built. The colors used were a Gray Base GlassAmber Base Glass and Bronze Rust Copper Base Glass all mixed on top. This fireplace and pan reside in Mexico! Below is the fireplace as it started.

This next fireplace was installed in Mexico by Roy Quick. It turned out amazing. The base glass that was used is.   1/4" Clear White Base Glass and Scarlett Toppers accented with Gold Base Glass on top of it all.  The propane pan has a removable front skirt/ cover to conceal the controls.

Installation of a Propane Pan

These fireplace photos were sent to us by a customer in Palm Desert, CA. We will show you step by step on how to install a clean burning propane pan burner.  Our customer used  Sky Blue Base Glass.

First clear out your fireplace and paint with stove paint if desired.

Hook up the flex line and check for any leaks before going any further.

Lava will be provided with your pan.  Fill only inside the pan area.  Light again and check your flame pattern.

On this application pea-gravel was used to fill the backside of the fireplace.  Make sure to keep your gravel/lava a couple of inches back away from the front.

This particular propane pan burner used Sky Blue Base Glass.

Now install your patented FireGlass over your pan and everywhere else.  Make sure your pilot is still above the surface of the glass or it will not work properly.  Controls must also be exposed to operate.

Designed specifically for a high-winds area, this custom propane fire pit was destined for greatness.

Chuck Krallman Chuck Krallman

It took some fancy engineering footwork to keep the flame from being extinguished.  Here you can see the prototype concept in action with both a cardboard cut-out and wood frame.

Chuck Krallman Chuck Krallman

Here at last we have the actual glass encasing, and approaching completion, we just need to test how well it will do with some real life winds...

Chuck Krallman

Perhaps not as powerful as Mother Nature herself, but we blasted the fire pit with this industrial fan.  And success!

Chuck Krallman Chuck Krallman

Crated and shipped we finally received the photos from our client a few weeks later.  Here is the propane fire pit finally installed perhaps in one of the most scenic spots, the beautiful Virgin Islands.  Check out the cool under-lighting Chuck placed beneath the fire pit.

The next pan burner is a propane pan burner with Skytech Controls. This unit has a standing pilot light with a remote control. To conceal the controls we manufactured a removable lift off front plate.

The next pan is a stainless steel pan we manufactures for our customer in Hawaii. The system that was install was a ventless burner to burn propane with our glass. We will explain as we go forward. On the front of the pan we we bend an open back hemmed stainless steel curtain to conceal the controls but it is still easy access.

This is the ODS (Oxygen Depletion Sensor) it speaks for its self.   Here we are burning propane with a Starfire Base Glass, please note what a clean burn! We do it right.   All of our pans are built for each application and fireplace.

This is the first burner we converted.  The Fireplace pictures are using the following FireGlass:

The pan below is a brushed aluminum pan with sculpted legs. This pan is for propane and now we offer a simple adapter to convert this to remote control from the back side (battery operated).

The skirts will hide the the valves and the remote control will be moved to the side of the fireplace. This was a ventless burner the customer sent to us for conversion and they asked for us to add a remote control operation.

The propane burner below was made to inset flush to the floor with a remote control underneath the pan. The pan sat 5" below the surface so the glass would appear to be just above the surface. The outer ring was bolted down to keep the glass from falling underneath the burner in the event you ever had to service the burner or remote control. The tower you see is actually for the air mixer to draft fresh air to the propane before it burns.

As you can see we drilled it to look like a ribbon burner. This is what was ordered by the customer.

The next fireplace is from Chris Ackopiantz in Palos Verdes California.
Chris lives in a condo complex with only wood burning fireplaces. Chris received permission from his complex to add a propane fed fireplace. Burning wood is not only dirty and nasty, it is very unhealthful as well.
Here are his pictures from beginning to end:
